job for today. weld in some end plates to the roof stentheners where i had to cut holes in themto fit the roll cage bars though. attention to detal in my eye is importent. could have left them bear but i think it would have looked poo

i had two quotes to paint my van black today including fitting one front wing and two new rear arches, one guy said £2000 and the other guy said £3000 i think i'll save up and buy a new van instead

lol ...... fit the panels yourself and then get the bodyshop to skim it flat where needed then spray it, should be a bit cheaper

this weekend was the rust under the o/s headlight.

was alot easyer than i thought it would be, just had to cut out all the infected bits and not be shy with the grinder.

that way you just add on to what you have got.





















had to cut the front of the bumper off and weld it backl on again.

and i can see the tell tale signs of previous welding (if thats what they called it) ..... wire sticking through all over the place

it always looks much better when you've cut all the old crap and rust out doesnt it ... shame that that is the part that usually takes the longest .... the actual welding is quite quick in respect

after a £4500 price tag for the paint i don't want any blubble marks froming after a year. the whole van has been abused by a screwdrive and hammer looking for weak points.

Might be able to get ya good price, what u looking for total preapre, fill, re-spray or are u gona do the labour and then just need it prepping and spraying?
