Been really busy the last couple of days:
Wot no Ford Badge!
Image Image

Dismantling the bus
Image

Replacement Door
Image

Plastic primer for the grille/mirrors and new bumpers
Image

Took the rear glass out to repair the window frame
Image

My daughter Sam washed and flatted the original paintwork from top to bottom!

Most of the masking is done.

Tomorrow, we will finish masking and start the primer coats. More updates to follow. Cheers, TT 8)

I've been watchin' your progress with great interest - it's a fantastic re-build and customisation job you are doing, keep it up!

The weather has been pretty crap here too. We were flatting paint in the pouring rain on Sunday. I'm a bit luckier than you 'cos the bus is outside my front door so as soon as the rain stops, we rush out to carry on working. i think your bus is in a yard up the road  You are luckier than me 'cos you could paint indoors. I want to prime today, and just got up to dry weather :D with 35mph gusting wind   It should calm down a bit this afternoon :?

It stayed dry today so...
On with the first coat of primer:

Then "wet-flat" it back with 600 grit:

Second coat, "get off me roof Sam!!"

That's it for today

Tomorrow it's final coat of primer followed by roof colour and hopefully some of the bodywork too. If it doesnt r**n

That's one handy daughter you got there. Big up to her!
The Bus is looking good mate. Love the idea of it being Technicolor.

Today started good. First we got on a 3rd coat of primer:

Then Sam painted the roof:

I masked up both sides and roof then the heavens opened

Just waiting for the rain to stop but it looks like that may be all for today :?

That's why you use a child preferably female. Lighter see. Tricky is clever as well as a transit fancier.
