Well roof replacement is under way!! I have cut out what I need from the donor (thanks loads Fred :D :D ) and will be fitting it tomorrow. Its what I should have done at the beginning instead of wasting time bodging up the screen surround

Hell of a day! As usual this old truck continues to amaze me!! I stripped the front end all off and removed the lump in prep for fitting the screen and roof. Next I removed the windscreen, REAL careful like! The donor section was trimmed to fit and then I went on to remove the rust, I mean roof! In the past some bright spark had seen fit to weld an extra scuttle over the original! The outer red one was mullered but the original yellow one underneath wasnt to bad :? Next up was to trim back the bulkhead top and A pillars to match the new bit. Then I stepped on the N/S step and it disappeared in a pile of rust :( This disappearance revealed the N/S outriggers in all their rotten glory :( Never mind though ever onwards :D

Stripped and ready.

N/S rust all to be cut out :!:

Prepped and waiting for some minor repairs and then the new roof :!: :!: :D

Nice repair...NOT :!: More tomorrow :D
