British vans rust because of the salt on the roads in winter and the fact that the winds from the Atlantic carry salt so every time it rains you get salted. Over here on the mainland there are:- 1; too many roads to salt 2; if it is that bad why go to work as the customers won't 3; we are so far from the sea the Atlantic winds drop it all on you guys. Down in the south and in Spain there are old Mk 1 transits on their second engine!!!!!!

i sorted another problem my passenger rear foglight never worked but the drivers did. it had no power at the rear light so i tested the plug at the front footwell and it was getting 12v so there was a break somewhere between here and the rear light. i stripped back the wire above the sliding door and tested the continiuty from here to the back light and it beeped so the break was between here and the dash. i ran a new wire and bingo foglight back working. i have no idea why one wire had a break but all the others are working perfect :?

please dont rain tonight  . i got my rust rubbed down on the rear arch and near the passenger door and put kurust to help but as you have to leave it 3 hours before paint making that 9 i couldnt do it as i have to fill and sand pitted areas. the new sil now makes my sliding door look sh*t too.

im going to zinc prime the bare metal on the underside and use under body sealant as i think stonechip trapped the water and is why it rusted so much as water dripped out as i scraped it off.
