Cant swear to it but I think possibly Astra SRi or similar, definately Vauxhall though cos I recognised the seat belt arrangement!

Cheers for the comments so far folks :D :D

Bit of an update...

New disks and pads yesterday, new ball joint also :D
Made an new exhaust system from the back of the downpipes over the weekend, sounds absolutely superb now, took a lot of welding/cutting but now its is a four piece system that would be easy to replace/repair if anything untoward happened :D

Waiting for the windscreen chap to arrive at the mo, so thought I'd play around with a few bits and came up with this.....

Looking for somewhere to put your keys and mobile etc??? Look no further than a Volvo 940, cut the rear brackets off the seat pockets and it looks like it was meant for the job 8)

Well the M.O.T threw up a couple of unexpected things...

It needed the other bottom ball joint doing, and the power steering rack was knackered  managed to get another from the breakers though :)

Sorted now though and on the road legally :D gona take her down the M1 tonight and see what she'll do 8)

Re shaped the front end again yesterday, wasnt happy with the grill etc, much happier now :D Looks a little more like a proper smiley...

Well I gota say that Cougar made a great choice with the gearbox!

Dropped onto the M1 at J26 at 10ish last night, headed back towards J24 as at the mo there are no active cameras on this stretch, and all the local plods are in the city centre slapping fines on the 'Cruise Nottingham.Com' boys

I dont know what the 0-60 time is exactly but I reckon somewhere in the 11-12 sec region  and flat out (according to the ever inaccurate Transit speedo) she's doing 125mph, so I think thats probably more like 110mph 8) 8) at that speed she felt absolutely stable on the road and the power steering works a treat, theres the usual whine from the axle but its by no means excessive, the only annoyance is the whistling from the 'peaked cap' (sunvisor) with all the lights on(which incedently are not wired up :( ) at anything over 90mph, but then how often do you get to ruise at that speed nowadays :?:

I've worked out that all the running around I have done in her over the last two weeks she is doing about 22mpg with a light foot (obviously I didnt want to get stopped before she had an M.O.T) which I think is pretty good for a 2.9I V6 :D :D :D , although I reckon she used about a gallon just going two junctions of the M1 falt out

All in all I'm very happy with my new toy :D :D Like I said there is still stuff to do, but I hope to get her to Billing next month :D
