BE SAFE! and look after those little piggys cause when their gone their gone!

As you can see on the pic with the grinder, we use so small discs they dont reach through the fingers at all

but seriosly.... we are using good gloves, and we use the grinders carefully, on bigger items of course we use the metalscreen surrounding the disc as well.... but its kinda in the way while cutting and grinding in narrow places... :)

thats th eproblem with grinders... you need to make them work FOR you... we have 4" 4.5" 5" 7" 9" sh*t weve all sorts but the truth is there is times were you will NEVER have a tool to make the job easy! you just need a big tin of elbow grease

im become a fan of the e83 thameson but the A series is becoming a favourite! good luck and keep the faith

Well, done some one the old lady tody too, but for me the workshop monday got a little amputated.... had to work some extra hours today on short notice.

but Jørn has done som serious work:

drilled out the spotwelds to the RH frontfloorpan and removed it.
Image

He also had to cut out a part of the firewall to repair the top plate on the RH chassisrail
Image

Andlast but not least he repaired a part of the chassisrail:

When I finally showed up I got continued on the wheelwell, got the rear part of it finished, also cut out the lower front inner wing so it will be ready to make the part and weld it in next monday

Hopefully we will get more done next monday, but it was kind of a milestone to get the rear inner well finished off.

Well today we had some hours out in the shop again.... and we really got few things done.... I continued on the inner wing and got started on the rail, and Jørn continued on the RH floor and the firewall. its fun with things like this becauce you really see things happening...

well, here are som pics of what we got done today....

Jørn filled in the firewall again to prepare for the floorpan.
Image

then he cutted the panel to make the new floor.
Image

welded it in
Image

and after a good weld there is just the fun part left.... grinding to make the welds look like theyre really made by people
Image

I on the other hand continued by enbracing the front end a little while cutting out the front part of the rail..
Image

fabbed up the front outer part.. have to make this in more pieces too as none of us are experienced enough to meke the panels in one piece
Image

tacked it in together with the part of the inner wing I cut out last time...
Image

at the end of the day I got done a couple more parts of the rail...
Image

We really cant see any end to this resto, but as Jørn says.... "There are people which have started out with worse..." but in the end I guess they end up with a car worth something

Anyway.... next monday I'm not gonna be at the shop, so I guess it will be couple of weeks before the next update...

Thanks Peter:)

I consider shopping for a shrink/stretch kit like this http://www.eastwood.com/shrinker-stretc ... tions.html

does anyone here have any experience with these tools? I believe it is much easier than beating the folds to stretch it :)

BTW, we have changed our shopmonday to tuesday this week, so I guess there will come an update this week as well:)
