love the lowered look of the bus how did you do it????? thinking of lowering mine did you get your rear leafs de cambered?? if so who by and by how much and what did you do to the fronts is that a custom set up or just trimmed down cheers

As mentioned already mine was a weighbridge lowering job which paid out nicely thanks very much I've had a look underneath and the front looks like a simple spring chop job as for the rear then either mess with the leafs as you said or cut and re weld the brackets for a axle over leafs set up. At least that what my untrained eye told me. Don't think I'll be going that way though as I doubt I'd retain the load carrying ability I need from this van.

Still waiting on the call about the wheels, don't want to keep bothering the man though so shall just play the waiting game. I gave the underside a wash in the ford at Eynsford yesterday and may well bless the topside with a sponge later, it's a constant battle at this time of the year and I feel I need to keep on top of it what with the frequent trips to the beach.

Van still going good and being a useful bit o' kit in true tranny fashion. And wait for it, yes I have done some work other than cleaning it and changing the oil.

Fitted a step so the it's now far easier for me spouse and kids to get in and out of the back. Not keen on the off the shelf items for reasons of aesthetics and being a tight wad I made my own with metals and wood I had in the garage. Bit of an improvement on the last one on the old van if I do say so myself.


Made a few improvements to the cooking table in the back too though the cat was unimpressed

Going to make up some repair panels for the back doors unless anyone knows where to get them cheap, also needs an arch or 2. Who'd a thought it

Thanks for the like and compliments. I followed the Mrs driving this van solo for the first time and the scabs do let down what is a pretty clean (for a smiley ) transit.

Those panels are just the ticket though I may wait and see if I can get a job lot with some arches along with some sills/valance/rear quarters and arches for my Cortina somewhere local and save on postage.
However after typing that out it looks like a lot of 'car' work when I'm supposed to be sorting the flat for sale. The van needs far less so I guess this will be first.

Thanks, both very usefull. Had the awning up for the second time over the weekend. So much easier to erect the second time around since I'd worked out what goes where, steps great for both making tea on and sitting on whilst drinking it

Putting on a spare set of wheels tonight then tyres off tomorrow so the steels are ready for banding. Shall be running them up to James sometime this week.

Waited for the morning due to dry in the sun and just managed to pack up before the rain came. Spent the Sunday out on fot and returned to find we were the last in the field with the van sat there all on it's lonesome.



Cheap family hols is a great way to let the good lady of the house know that we can't live without the tranny
Making plans with some mods which I'm not spilling the beans on just yet. Wheels pimped first which should mojo me for the rust chaseing.
