Thanks for the comments, the welder was up as much as we could get it before it started to blow holes in the body. I used external gloss for metal, not the best paint job but i use my transit for running around in and for work. I cant justify spending a huge amount on a spray job where it will get ruined.

That looks great mate how many coats are on there just woundered if you you had a rough idea what its cost to do this to the van? Im at the point where i need to do this to my 190. And i think i would be really helpful to see whats involved cost wise to tidy up your old van.

That was 2 coats, i gave the van a rub over with some 1500 and then used paint prep wipes and wiped the van over and then 2 coats with a roller, i used exterior gloss from B&Q for wood and metal. Went with green as its green on the log book.
