Unsure what u mean by top and bottom mounts ?

So you saying lift the mk5 out complete with engine mounts and she will sit straight in ? My mk2 which had petrol engine fitted ? Don't mk5 have alloy mounts and petrol steel ?

he means bolt the chassis part of the mk5 to the chassis of the mk2 - they are slightly different but with a little modding they will fit :D

have a read of this and you'll be a lot wiser :D  viewtopic.php?f=27&t=35851

yes the lower mounts that look part of the chassis bolt on! just un bolt this and bolt it on yours stick your head under the van and your see think there three 17mil bolts you can only use two of them but two bolts is fine and then it will go straight in, i had this prob fitting a di in my mk2 thought wer am i going to find di mounts didnt need them they wer already on the mk5, youve got mount on engine then rubber mount then lower mount on van this unbolts and bolts straight up to your mk2 easy
