Not posted much of late, but I have been busy tinkering with the van.
Besides playing with the alarm, which is still an on going saga with the imobiliser...
Picked up some diesel mondeo clocks recently and fancied a rev counter. Followed Guy88 instructions in the Technical how to section
http://fordtransit.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=6665, straight forward enough until I found a few wires where different colours. Thanks to Guy, sorted this minor problem out and soon had working dials.

I did my own wiring diagram for the version I used.

I picked up a laser cut fascia panel for £8 including P+P from fleabay, so I cut open the perspex cover with a dremmel. I mounted the dials on some plastic I was going to use for the sideskirts, just heated it up with a paint stripper, and bent in to shape as you can see in the photos, easier than metal and done in minutes.

Had to cut the back off the dash surround to get it to fit again, which leaves a gap in each top corner, but Im hoping to a another surround made from carbon fibre depending on a quote, if not its gonna be glass fibre molded instead... yes I did think of welding some plastic to make the whole fit, but just going to wait to see how much the guy wants first, then I might be getting the soldering gun out again
