summer's here (so i'm told) my new plan is to use this van for summer ............. every day

fitted my black plates that i bought when i had the firevan's done here's a pic 8)

Image
still needs the bonnet gapping properly

i've got a long list of jobs that need doing but all being well i'll get them cracked off now

bad things are the vans been stood outside all winter - one of the side pipes is rusty you can see in the pic :( and at one point i had it stood under a gazebo and it blew down and has scratched the van quite badly and now needs a lot of paint work :(

dunno about 80% i think i was half way back then

all done 8)

and are they any good :?:

OH YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

proof is in the pudding (north weald this year) but imo with these on at north weald last year the BOA 24v V6 would have had the YB turbo no problem

i'll post pics in the tramp bar thread  viewtopic.php?f=13&t=28634

theres 2 black lines i made outside my works i'll take a pic if i remember me camera

Todays progress

well driving the van everyday didnt last long 3 days and ive got it in bits again  plenums off to relocate my coilpack - got it too far to the left and as i accelerate the engine touches it :( problem is ive drilled through the bulkhead so rather than drill more holes i'll just extend the bracket :D
while i got the plenum off i decided to cut a piece out where it fouls the servo - so i can have the servo back in the origanal postion :) but the main reason was it was causing an annoying vibration :(
ive cut a piece out and i think i'll just cold weld a bit over it as it's ally - just a temprary bodge untill i get me new plenum :D

other than that tried me new merc calipers on to get the front alloys on and they dont even fit the hubs properly :( back to the drawing board

as far as progress on the van - ive modded the coil pack bracket if it'd stop raining it pop outside and fit it

yeah me too - strangley only 1 is bad :? the n/s is still pritty mint - probly a manufacturing fault - not enough chrome mabe :(

one more thing i've decided i think i'm gonna mod a set of mk4 hubs to get the alloys on the front - they'll stick out a mile but it'll look a million times better than it does now (looking at pic's of bez's bus made my mind up) then in time sort it to get them under the arches :D
