had some good progress on this today 8) 8)

sorted the engine - it was the map sensor - we'd got a 2wd one and the wiring is different - it's now running standard so we can get it MOT'd

still got the problem with the green injectors - anyone any ideas why they didnt work :?:

also spent a bit of time sorting the pipework out that we rushed to get it done for NW08 got a few more bits to sort but it's looking good for NW12

and here's a pic with the new wheels and tyres fitted 235/50R18 commercials 8)

fitted a new side loading door, back door and 2 new rear shockers today also piped the internal heater up :D we tested the new fan switch and it cuts on and off nicely - it's previously has the fan on a manual switch - nice to get these little jobs done on it to make it a usable van 8)

i drove it up and down the street for the 1st time in ages 8) the back axle is definatly an improvement from what i remember :!:

.................... MOT booked for thursday :D

no problem gurj so long as it comes back with a half decent sterio fitted something similar to yours

spent a bit of time on this today, fitted the new (ebay 2nd hand) amil vakve on and it didnt work - put a voltage to it and it's u/s :x a bit annoying as it was supplied as tested working ok

we really wanted that working fine before we start messing with the ecu but we couldnt resist  tried the chipped ecu - didnt work :( stu then remembered the chip wasnt actually fitted  it was about 3 years ago we bought it  fitted the chip and took it for a blast 25psi boost straight away 8) 8) as the rest of it isnt ready i put the standard one back on for now :)

unfortunatly we still couldnt get the MAP senser to work - i even swapped the wiring over and still no good :?

the ecu (chipped one) is a 2wd but the rest is 4x4 - is that a problem :?: anyone :)

the injectors have been sent off we're waiting for them to come back, and now we need another amil valve, but it's still worth taking to north weald as it is so it'll be there definatly now 8)

stripped the 'new' amil valve and the pins just broke off it was badly corroded inside but the seller is sending another :D - so while we had a bit of spare time we fitted the origanal one with the intermittent fault and bent a pin over so it works ok for now - (we'll still bin this when the next one arrives) but now we've piped up the actuator we had a few runs up and down the road to get the boost set right we has 15psi and it kept cutting out so we reduced it gradually untill we had 10 psi and it still cut out (anyone know what it should be on a standard set up ??) anyway then gave up and tried the chipped ecu this didnt have a cut out on it so we wound the boost back up to 15psi

now we're gonna stop playing and just drive it steady until we get the right injectors and map senser fitted  dont want to cause any damage :? but it was a very interesting day learning and understanding how it works :)

we'd like to fit a 3 gauge pillar pod - anyone done this to a mk6 before :?: any tips :?:

we want to have an engine oil pressure, turbo boost and an air/fuel ratio gauge fitted! the a/f gauge so we can monitor how the engine is running

there's still so much more we can do to this van, i think the air filter is in a bad place, doesnt get much air flow and it gets a lot of heat off the turbo :| but it's getting to the point where it's nearly a usable van
