parking isnt too bad - thats why i fitted a rear door with window in so i could see out the back - you just have to practice - in an empty car park preferably

i wouldnt mind a LWB, how long are they? My transit is shorter than My ford falcon ute..

Here you can see the short wheel base and the long wheel base in inches whom you can compare. To enlarge the picture for better view, copy and save in a folder and enlarge. The manual book is 40 years old, so still in inches. According to the book the lenght is AN 194 21/32inches whilst yours would be about AG 165 1/16inches.

ive just had an interesting if not totally suprising phonecall from my dad, hes givving the transit a service before transitmania ect and hes found some....interesting problems that are now fixed

1 - plug cap under alternator was loose
2 - spark plug under alternator was loose not screwed all the way in so the van may have been running on 3 cylinders
3 - plug cap lead was slightly damaged/outer casing melted from heat sorse

all plugs now checked and where mint as if theyre where brand new

cleaned rotor arm/points and cap of corosion

4 - had carb off to check it out as we experienced a few probs with it - there was a loose screw on the butterfly valve (or somthing - he diddnt say in great detail) so the vaulve wasnt returning to its original position possibly over fuling the carb

now al that parlava is over the transit should run a hell of a lot better - altho it ran prety fine with all the probs :?:

did a little more over the weekend - mainly painting the front floor..or at least one half

also had a little fire in the engine bay due to my dad spilling some petrol when trying to pour some into the carb - little damage just warped outer casing on 2 wires and a petrol hose - PHEW
