@Ned I've no idea but my van doesn't appear to be lacquered :-(
I'll give the baby wipe a go it'll be gentle on the paint at least :-)
@bjt i went to the paint shop and have them my colour code and they went on the puter and it came back as dark blue, the colour i got i took a piece of my van and had 20 shades of pre made tins of red and my eye couldn't match the crap :?

@Bambi does that say loot? Sweet 8)

@Karl cheers i have various products but I'm a little nervous on such new paint, guy in work commented that not 1 stone chip was on the bonnet 8) then i spotted a small dent on the corner :?

@bjt not sure on the paint code, i have the tins now maybe i can use that, i used a company near me for 2 pack but they never quite got a perfect match despite me taking the car details, piece of bodywork, paint code :?
If this little tin can cover a bit of the front underneath and over the seam sealant then I'll be happy, I'm going to take it somewhere to get the door and wing fixed/painted if i can afford to.

I got the number of someone who does paintless dent removal and alloy wheel refurbishing, i wonder what prices they charge generally? I have 2 wheels that need doing, i can buy brand new wheels for 70 tho

Problem i have is that i want it perfect if I'm paying :? I don't want me to notice imperfections and the guy say, that's alright it's just a van 300 pounds please

Cool tool 8) I bought a suction cup dent puller for a dent in me tail gate, it was pants, all in did was make me look stupid when it came off and I ended up on my arse.

Screwfix do a panel beating kit for about £30, you know hammers and dollies and stuff. N

I had a set about 50 years ago absolute w*nk tbh:-(

YouTube pdr (paintless dent removal) some of the dents they do
I've tried a bit but I'm a little impatient and i don't know enough to do it well

Suction cups are funny.... Kurpop! But if the dent is small or there is any metal stretch/crease then it'll never come out :-(

You've got the weld n pull sliding hammer which seems good but relies on damaging the paint, same as all other methods of repair :-(

Not seen one of them Mr Punto Sir may have to look for one.

I have seen the weld slide hammer ones Mr Loot Sir but like you say you have to remove the paint for it to work, I quite enjoy doing panel beating and body repairs, I find it rewarding and therapeutic, but it takes time.

Block of wood and press down on the bonnet to bend it back into shape. N

I've done loads bjt:-) but it mostly ends up in some filler and spray, although the die hard panel beaters will beat me for the mere mention of filler

Problem is, applying heat to panels (Ford production ones) means burning off any paint protection behind the panel and that means more rust :? Ideally done properly and top quality will mean 10x more work which means money.

So bodge it up and drive it like you stole it

99% will do :-)
