saw 93 on the satnav and was still accellerating, albeit slowly, (incidently my speedo is pretty sodding close to the satnav due to the diff change!)

Its all a bit irrelevant really because I won't be doing anything like that normally

96 on the satnav at the weekend Mark... and once again still accellerating! I reckon on a long enough run it would definately exceed 100, probably top out at about 110-115  I'm not going to try that any time soon though!

Ake - I bet I have spent less than buying a "straight out of the box" that will do it though ;)

0-60 is about 14secs. I was easily beating Mealic with his 2.3 swb low petrol mk6 at N weald

its also far more fun having a knackered looking vehicle which suprises people!

I reckon the van oves me about 600 quid (less normal service parts of 40 to 50 a year), which given I have had it 5 years isn't bad

Van cost 175 will 6 months test 7 months tax and a full tank, sold the rear seats for 167 (6 quid ebay fees)

Spent about 300 on panels and welding consumables

Bought a turbo engine for 150 sold the pump off it for 175 and the block for 125 (kept turbo etc)

The sold my turbod engine for 250 and bought the 29 for 350, clutch for 100 and about 80 of exhaust bit

so I havent really spent a huge amoiunt!

proberbly cheeper to run too - extra petrol cost will still be less than new van depreciation :D
