Pulled over last night for the first time in this.

Exhaust - exhaust? - have you got one? - yeah! it's a bit loud eh -
is it legal? - I don't know - did you fit it yourself? - yep - and you don't know if it's legal? - no.
we're on duty tomorrow and sunday - ok, i'll do the plate and light tomorrow.

hush thoes lips!!! u fitted it the week b4 and it flew through even did a db tast and it was ????? db (find out the legal amount the take 2 off) so yes police man it is a tade loud but its under the legal sound or was when i mot,ed her

They were very sound coppers I must say.
They were happy enough when I promised to swap the plate and sort out the light,
and they'll see that I have.
I might even fit a rear bumper

there is no "legal" sound limit, it just has to be reasonable for the vehicle (except motorbikes which do have a limit and the exhaust have to BS marked)

Doesn't have to be BS marked anymore, mine isn't and has been through several MOTs. What my MOT man told me was as long as it doesn't have "Not for road use" or similar on it and it's reasonable/comparable to another bike it's ok.

Plus most exhausts are E marked now instead
