hopefully the van wil be at hayling but its a bit poorly at the moment - needs the exhause welding and the gearbox and engine oil need changing :roll:

the convertion has now started and is well under way - all the rhd equiptment has been installed
steering collum and box and hole for steering arme
peddle box and servo
and also work has started on the front end replacing bottom half of wing on right hand side and left wing to be replaced soon

did a bit more work last week e.g fitting the other door which needs a little work at the bottom but its better than what there was

but the cream door catches on the step near the front pilar where the guy welded a plate over it :roll:

and scratched back the paint on the old door and found this which aparently says
"LIBERATED FIRE" according to google translate
so it looks like my van may have been a forestry commition fire van as there is a pic of a saw cutting a tree 8)

nope :!: :!: its a green mk1 swb v8 custom van and you can change it from left to right in half an hour :wink:

yes and no - still playing with ideas but a nice dark blue (midnight blue?) is still my fave idea

no :!: :!: :!: :!: its the real deal all the insruments are down the middle theres 2 pedal boxes and linkages so you can choose left hand or right it also had independant front suspension, theres pics here somewhere about 4 years ago

yes had jag rear axle and ford cleveland v8 auto wanted 1500 quid for it but could nt sell it he may still have it
