putting a hole scuttle in is a lot of work to put the hole thing in complete the tops of the wings will have to come off or you join it up around the top edge above the wings but these are a common rot spot so when you come to weld it you could end up blowing holes in it and then you may have to end up taking the tops of the wings off any how, take it from me ive been doing this nearly 25 years if you wont il come and move the holes over for you?

thanks adam - i havnt got a wipermotor unit and linkages yet - but when i do i might take up your offer

yea i didnt think you were meaning to do it rite now any way il have a chat with you at hayling its easyer to explain with the van in front off us

hopefully the van wil be at hayling but its a bit poorly at the moment - needs the exhause welding and the gearbox and engine oil need changing

THE NEXT CHAPTER HAS BEGUN!!

the convertion has now started and is well under way - all the rhd equiptment has been installed
steering collum and box and hole for steering arme
peddle box and servo
and also work has started on the front end replacing bottom half of wing on right hand side and left wing to be replaced soon

rhd collum only bolted in tempry till dash is changed

AND went to dvla with all relivant paper work and should get registration assigned very shortly

did a bit more work last week e.g fitting the other door which needs a little work at the bottom but its better than what there was

but the cream door catches on the step near the front pilar where the guy welded a plate over it







and scratched back the paint on the old door and found this which aparently says
"LIBERATED FIRE" according to google translate
so it looks like my van may have been a forestry commition fire van as there is a pic of a saw cutting a tree

nope its a green mk1 swb v8 custom van and you can change it from left to right in half an hour

yes and no - still playing with ideas but a nice dark blue (midnight blue?) is still my fave idea

no its the real deal all the insruments are down the middle theres 2 pedal boxes and linkages so you can choose left hand or right it also had independant front suspension, theres pics here somewhere about 4 years ago
