also while it was on i measured the prop 1820mm (posted here incase i forget)

it's all on factory mounts i've had to alter the gearbox mount a little to get clearance but other than that - nothing
the back axle is as it was before - just needs the prop shortening now

i think with the angle of the diff as the power is fed through it the reaction will rotate it level - as that is when the most wear will occur

All welded up and painted i bought a tin of black hammerite, opened it up and it's more like a gun metal grey looks well tho i'll give it another coat later

took the propshaft down to Propshaft technologys Rotherham £100 for a new end and shorting and balancing - should be done wednesday

popped into the machinists and unfortunatly the halfshafts havent been started bit of a setback as ive still got the caliper brackets to make and i can't start them untill the halfshafts are back in, disks on and all lined up

didnt get chance to get the hub seals but found they are £10.49+vat each from evans halshaw fords parkgate Finis Code 3896454 but i'll pop in tomorrow morning and they should be here for wed/thursday

still all on target for the northern meet

got prop back today haven't measured it up but it looks about right

diff oil still not enquired about this
halfshafts from machinists - main thing that could hold me up
once i have the half shafts i need to make brackets to hold the calipers

then i'm done

well i've given up trying to get the axle on for the meet - spoke to the machinist today and the half shafts will be done friday - so it doesnt really give me enough time to make and fit the caliper brackets

so i've dropped another diff in the old axle case and put the old axle back on - the only problem i can see is now i've had the prop shortned i hope there will be enough side in the sliding joint to cope but theres always a way round - longer flange bolts and a few packets of washers mabe just best not go over 30mph

but 95% sure it will be at the meet
