Today i part fitted the wing and other bits and bobs, that little tin of paint is going quite far, and would you believe it, my van is lacquered
Explains why it is so shiny

Got my track rod end on the reason i left it first was because owing to my anger issues i foresaw it going through the windscreen however, today i bit my lip and dug in deep and hung off the vice which allowed me to work back and forth with the nut

Bits left are finish the wing and then refit the bumper and various plastics.

Only warning lamp left is the airbag because well there's no passenger 1 there's a driver and passenger 1 on eBay for 499 or just a passenger 1 online for 450euro(due to the weak pound that probably works out at 899 plus postage from germania which will be 99.

Anyway, i can get the airbag cover alone for 70 pounds and a resistor but it can't be permanent as I'm not sure where i stand ethically or with insurance (more of an issue if i sold the van, I'd have to put a sticker on the airbag cover saying no airbag.)


Anyway, next problem is that i can't figure out the bloody pcm cover/shield, mines a bit bent so I'll straighten that out and go from there but i may have to see if bjt can get a picture or 2?

Much obliged, basically behind the passenger headlamp, on the inner wing is a big metal plate and the pcm sits on top then there's another plate with 2 security snap bolts in, mine is a jumbled mess and i would have taken pictures but it was all squashed up etc so i didn't

Also the ac pipes where you refill them right next to the headlamp and at the front of the fusebox, where do they bolly to? They both have bolt holes.

Yes the TDCi Fiesta PCM is in a similar location, and looks like it's done a spell in Beirut Oh and it's now on it's third replacement

Everything is clipped and zipped to where it can only go

Incidentally the lad in work keeps looking at the mirror cap and says it's wrong, i keep saying that's how Ford made them (colour coded but mottled plastic) i haven't touched it and if he has a concern them contact Henry

Could something me made to protect the pcm, a stainless steel cover of some sort. N

You could probably make a fancy ally cover for it tbh my pcm is covered in white chalk like corrosion i think since the crash it has been open to the elements anyway, the pcm is upside down angled and the connectors are sealed and the wires enter from the bottom so i wouldn't be that worried about water entering the pins from the expansion bottle or screen area, maybe from driven rain at the front?

Bit of wd40 will be like new, when I had one of those nasty little Vauxhall cringebo van (don't judge me, it was payment from a job) every metal part had that white powdery chalky stuff on it.

Am sure it will be safe from water ingress, but you know what ford are like water seems to go where you least expect it.

Just think you might have it on the road for Christmas. N
