I have been driving it around a bit and the best I have seen is 20mpg (not that suprising I know - but its great fun)

I have been looking at LPG and I managed to get a complete single point LPG kit from a 2.9 Cosworth (Can't remember if it was sierra or Granada) for £89 a few weeks ago

because of the axle I didn't get around to installing it - But I spent some time yesterday evening and I started installing it tonight.

All I have managed to do is get the vapouriser and the front filter/solenoid fitted. I still need to drill 2 holes in the plenum for the gas intake and plumb it up, connect all the electrics, install a Lambda Sensor, Install the tank and filler neck etc...

I'm away from home this weekend but I am hoping to get it all in and wired up (tidely) before TransitMania

I have done a very quick calculation based on LPG being 75p/l unleaded being 140p/l and mpg reducing from 20 to 15 when running on it. It will take about 1375 miles - I guess thats worthwhile. On the assumption of the above figures it knocks about 1/3rd off the fuel costs

been there done that waist of time with lpg its going up and up 84p locally its not worth it attal!

well the LPG system is in and wired up (less about 20mins work). Tank and filler neck are also installed. I just need to find a suitable route for the gas pipe and connect it too the tank.

But the airfilter hits the the pipework where the gas enters the plenum so I am going to have to speed up my modification to the air filter arrangement
