just bought the correct gear knob for the 5 speed gearbox as the one on there had reverse in the wring place - picked it up from a scrap yard

that means you nicked it then, id just fit standard mk1 on it look better 5 speed nob looks to modern

i know where the gears are but my dad will keep forgetting and its nice to have it written on the gear knob...then you can say to people...look 5 speed

not used one for a whilst...he asked me where reverse was in the transit the other day..so i guess its easier to have it written on the gear knob

my would do 80 when it was petrol 4 speed and with 5.14 diff ? this mk1 is going to have 4.63 diff and 5 speed that van will do 80 no prob ok if you keep doing 80 your gona blow it up. but your saying it wont do 80 it will

MY NEW NUMBER PLATE'S ARRIVED TODAY!!!

its black and white to replicate the ones on the early vans like the pic below - i havnt pealed the protective sheet of the top yet

its nothing special but FX is the area code for Bournemouth which is near where we live so i thought id like a local number plate its a 68 plate and it says 68 on it aswell - really pleased, just have to put it on now
