Called powerall today and asked to talk to a technician, he came on all gloomy 'ello' but couldn't resist my charms and we were chatting away like pals in the end i only wanted to know why there was a loud clicking that seemed to come from the alternator when the belt was fitted but not when it wasn't, i asked if the clutch was just standard or some kind of electromagnet type affair, he said nah just bog, also I've got the newer system and that it is mega expensive kit like half a mil expensive well that explains why the hair dryer seemed to be no slower than in the house might even be 1.21 jigawatts generator

Anyway it seemed to quieten down a bit but the belt is a tooth off the outside of the crank pulley pulley so i need to make the alternator askew slightly



Tbh i think 3 belts is asking for trouble

The belt lasted 4. something k miles I know the problem its the van not wanting any of that Vauxhall filth on it

The guy you spoke to is probably not used to talking to anybody who knows a thing or two about those things. N

The Ford tech i spoke to was the same, started off in Evans Halshaw reception 'sit and wait there sir', moved to outside on the step, then standing with a view of him and my van across in the workshop opposite, to standing leaning against the door, to eventually walking around the workshop and him showing me his leak off kit in his back office and chatting away liker women

When the accident happened the passenger chassis leg got squashed which pulled the gearbox mount back and that put the engine on the piss enough to foul the original belt and it melted the outside slightly but i couldn't remove the belt without cutting it, bloody Vauxhall

I do hope "his leak off kit" isn't a euphemism

if I ever need advise from ford I just wander in the workshop and ignore the main desk jockies. N

Ignore the price Lol i got my seatbelts for 70 each and the steering wheel bag for 100.

I can get the passenger airbag cover for 70 delivered but I'm trying to get 1 with airbag.
