Belt and tensioners are different, the only pipe that is common to both FWD and RWD is the evaporator to receiver dryer one, pretty sure compressor is different, condenser fits to the water radiator using rubber bungs, therefore, radiator has to be correct, RWD with A/C rad. is different / longer than standard RWD one.
FWD and RWD with A/C radiators are the same dimensionally, but hose connections are different AFAIK.
You should be ok with your existing dash loom though.

No extra tentioner on a RWD and im fitting a new belt anyway

Only pipe that is different according to microcat is the compressor one all the rest are the same (age dependant)

Got a FWD coolant rad, only thing that is different is the top hose comes out at an angle

My dash loom doesnt have the air con wiring in it, where my jumper loom to the heater goes only has 3 wires and there for the blower motor and illumination, BUT the MK5 loom for that is the same just needs a different plug on it 8)

There are two pipes to the compressor, one from the evaporator to the compressor which includes the expansion valve, and one from the compressor to receiver / dryer, both different between FWD and RWD, unless MicroCat is showing it as one assembly, and that won't be cheap.

I assume that the heater box multiplug on the wiring loom is missing the A/C wiring then? :? It's relatively easy to wire it, but are you going to get the proper loom?, then you can do it whilst you've got the dash apart!

The one from the compressor goes to the condencer and the other to the reciever drier

From the evaporator one goes to the reciever drier the other to the bottom of the condencer

Micorcat shows the compressor pipes as one because there joind together at the compressor by the clamp block (kne also has the pressure switch in it)

Yep no wiring for the AC at all, im either going to run the 2 wires i need or replace the whole loom with one from geoff (more than likely as i can then just plug and go wth extras)

Chris, just had a look thru your thread on fitting the AC, on yours the AC pipes needed the bulkhead drilling, Looks like they come out above the water pipes??

What years yours from as mine come out next to the coolant pipes
