To remove the fault go to service functions where you do the pump and pilot learns and look down until you see RPM limiting, go into that and follow the procedure and set rpm limiting to 'none' (it is currently set to 3 speed but you don't have the resistance ladder hardware fitted, I've never seen 1 yet!)
When that is done, clear and read codes and it'll be gone.
To explain, the 3 speed basically when working allows you to press the brake and clutch in a sequence and the rpm at tickover changes, eg standard is about 850rpm then maybe you can set 1000rpm 1200rpm 1300rpm, you might want this if you have a caravan or trailer and want the extra rpm to allow you to manouvre or whatever.
That's what i interpreted when i read it anyway lol.
We do have hill launch assist and hill decent assist nowadays and also other means to change the rpm.
