I think the YC1 bit means the year, would this be 2000 on yours? Don't know about any other digits. I'm pretty sure that these plates are unique to the vehicle.
Certain labels / decals are still available (they are for the mk6), but anything with chassis no./ specific information on it, will be printed / stamped at point of build. :(
If you're fussy, (like me) the only option would be to get one off a similar vehicle (age and colour), to try and replicate one would look cr@p.

When I brought new plates for the MK2 Cortina, I had to send them away to be stamped, as they are stamped from the reverse and at the time you couldnt buy reversed letter punches. Couldnt see any listed in the trade catalogues

Now, for some reason, since all this work was done, I now have a nasty whistling noise from the N/S of the windscreen when going over 50mph :x :x :x

What can I use on the windscreen to stop it :?:
I understand that silicone/bathroom sealer is a big no no :!: :o

Or is it best left to a professional to re-seal it :?:

tiger seal :idea: the see through if you can still get it

i know you can get black and white :wink:
I'am the only man with no dad as i was created in a chemical spillage in a factory

Seriously though, are you sure its not the door seal that's whistling :? more likely as the doors were taken off :roll:

on some cars/vans thay bend open in the wind :lol: :evil:

Well I found out why I had a whistling :!: :roll:
Pulled off the A pillar trim and found I could see into the cab area :shock: :shock:
A gap, of at least 6 inches long :roll:
Temporarily sorted :D
