yeah i saw the white cossie one as well on ebay and have to admit it did look good all finished nice one mate

i will be doing lots of body repairs in the next few months,

new front wings,
bonnet,
grill suround,
back doors,
both front doors,

i was thinking about some quad headlights but not sure, might try to find some angel eyes instead, does any one no if i can still buy them,

i like the bumper - we are going to do one the same on my mates mk5 - but didnt have that idea adding to a complete bumper we were gonna cut 2 in halfs creating the same height but the centre would have been different -be interesting to see how yours turns out

been out doing more of the bumper,

trying to sort out the curve where the wheel arch runs,

had to cut up loads of bits to get the shape but i think it has turned out quite good,

that is very cool. alans bumper looks good but it got me thinking about doing just as you have done, as i thought it would be better...and i think it is!


what did you use to weld it, a soldering iron or heat gun?

i used a hot knife adapter for my soldering iron, and used bits of the old bumper as filler rod,

i have just been out and done the other side now the weather has cooled down, got to hot eairler and had to stop,

any way some pics







needs rubbing down will take a few more pics in a bit just letting the filler dry before i rub it down

its going to take loads of work to sort it out so its smooth but i think it will be worth it,
