That xr2i reminds me - we are gonna modify my mates mk5 smiley front the plan is basically to fit xr2i spots into the standard bumper the reason im mentioning it is we realised we would need to cut into the front crossmember to get them to fit- obviously it would need re-welding up as its a structural part!!
just something to look out for!!!
