Well, even without Sam around today, I did get some more paint on the bus.

Main body colour: Deep purple (headbanger)

Some colour coding going on here...

I've marked out where the colours are to go in pencil:

The top band of the rainbow is violet:

That's all for now. If the weather stays good, I may get 2/3 more colours on tomorrow. Thanks for looking... TT 8) 8)

What is it you are doing to the plastic to help the paint stick?

i only use the white primer if its a bright colour im going to put on and i want its full colour like yellow colours like that as ive noticed the grey primer doesnt show off the colour to its full potential
dont forget to go over the bumpers with wet and dry before applying the plastic primer

sorry for butting in there
looks like your getting on better than me at the minute doing a top job!

Grey primers I tend to use with the darker colours Black, Blues, Greens, etc. I sprayed Gold on my bumper end caps using plastic primer then white primer then gold and laquer.

certainly useful to me. I've seen others do it on here and am keen to try it out. I think body colour mirrors and bumpers look better than standard grey or black.
Tricky's colour scheme has also inspired me. hmmm...

Oh No! Not another nutter from Essex

By the way, what's been said here about the bumpers is spot on.
1. Plastic Primer
2. White celly primer
3. Celly topcoats

The back bumper will be red of course. :P

Wasn't sure about the purple, but when it went on, the whole family said "I REALLY like that colour" :D 8) TT

Yup, another Essex boy here. I really want to get into spraying. I would love to respray my van something different and eye catching. I am going to have to think hard about a design though.
Keep up the good work and are you going to the London and eastern area meet in Hatfield Peveral on the 15th of July? At the rate your going the van should be finished painting and it would be great to see it.
Well done.
