and through the back of the workshop.....get the engine hot makes it easier and keep the clutch pedal down while warming up..stop the engine and restart in first gear with clutch down makes sure there is nothing in front of you..if it still dont work go back then stick it into first gear while keeping clutch pedal down..if it still is stuck then take the gearbox off..

try it a few more times....But not that hard of a job to remove the gearbox. At least that way you can put a new clutch in place and then u will know its got a good clutch...and it gives you a chance to check the under neath fully as well.

Few more questions....
Where is the engine number? so i can find out if it is a van or car angine and set valve clearences timing etc.
Are down pipes available? If not do the 3 branch manifolds from a Capri fit?
What other models of Ford/Transit use the same gearbox? The gearlever is mounted on the side.
I have a few electrical gremlins to sort out is there a fusebox? So far the indicators and wipers do not work and one high beam is burnt out tho i have a few spare sealed beams in the end i will go for H4 conversion.
None of the electrics in the back work i have found the other battery and hooked up another with some jump leads but nothing seems to work. Did the landliner have a split chatging system so both batteries were charged?
Cant think of anything else but im sure there will be more questions
Thanks for your help

no way to down pipes you have to make your own :? :? capri ones will fit then make a system after that
the engine number is normaly on the block on the small lip about the oil filter, it will be very hard to see as normaly they get painted over and oily !

the gearbox will be standard transit g type box!

want one as a spare, i've heard stories, that they break easily and seen as the one on ebay is reconned and never fitted, thought it'd be worth it.

Do you know if the 185 r 14 are a suitable upgrade from the 165's?

well i suppose this isn't working cus i've only got the hand brake to break with. I still cant get the drums freed off.

How heavy is the gear box? Am i likely to get flattened taking it out?

it's not worth breaking just cus i cant get the front brakes unseized. Im not letting this go! I could say, you might change your minds once you see the pics but i dont know. You all sound like your allergic to rust! I know im not keen on using the mig but ill do it! Its too good to scrap, definately!
