so i can swap the stalk, and run the wires, keep the current relay in with no loss of function (from old stalk), then slot in new relay and have the 6 speed intermit?

if i ever find this relay...

I found a relay for sale, 5 mile up the road, so i went over, the guy came out with a GREEN relay (despite me asking for a RED one)

i plugged it into the bus, and the wipers (with standard stalk) worked till i put em onto "delay" when they just stopped anywhere, so i didnt buy the green one....

I think that may be a relay for a rear wipe (if it is I would be interested in it). Certainly heated screen relays have a big R on the top for the rear and F for the front

If it is red and centre pin is marked P then yes, rear wiper relay is orange.

Got one somewhere, found it after spending a fortune on a new one.
