also like the earlier grille finishes the front end off better than the smiley one (i want one for mine lol)
Thanks
Happy with how they fitted and the tread is within the arches so just about legal too. MK4 grill came of the bay for a fiver, had my eye out for one for a while and glad I waited as the quality is soo much better than the 5 grill (never had one that weren't broken

). Hit it up with some diamond white rattle action and chucked it on, wasn't sold on the style at first but since the wheels have gone I like it more, can't say why though.
Just got the reminder through for the MOT, I like it when garages do that as it saves me finding out it long since expired when I go to tax it
Can't beleve a whole year has past since the last test, high time I got on with the advisorys then. I Spent a fruitless hour or two looking for last years ticket so I could see what should of been done during the course of the year before giving up and breaking out the welder. Petty sure it was minors like deterioration of rear number plate and (not even a proper) oil leak, either one I can live with.
Chassis rail corrosion needs attention though, that I can remember.
Found some suitably thick metal and some cardboard for a spot of C.A.D
Bit of trimming with the flap disc to fit

All glued up, welding upside down is GR8 FUN

Second one was a bit more tricky as it was sandwiched between exhaust (popped of rubbers and pushed out the way) and rear shock (need to get down the pub meant this stayed in place)
C.A.D in effect

Some sparks/minor burns/bright light and a small fire later. Spot the run I'm most happy with.

Left the welds undressed (oo,er) so the tester can see wha guan. Did blast them with a rattle can as I don't want no more rust getting hold before I get the chance to give the rails a proper paint front to back. Chucked the toolage back in the lock up, hooked up the battery and hit the pub for pint and burger
Best book me a test now, wish me luck.
