WELL DONE

I just wish all of us had the technical expertise to do it!!!

I have enthusiasm for mine and Muttleys' vans - I'm just rubbish at doing stuff :( Still, at least I try! and I can sort of weld..... but I can't fabricate like Mutters does.... hopefully I'll be the queen bee with the interior of Delilah - you never know your luck!

Anyone know a good trimmer?

With the talents between the two of you, I'm sure you don't really need a trimmer,
but just in case you ever do -
South Norwood High Street, opposite no.30,
Double white doors, marked as Smiths builders yard (if I remember rightly)
At the back of the yard there's a sunroof fitter I know.
Ask for Dave or his dad.
They are good, and cheap if you say you know Paul from Bats :D

I've attempted to sort out my front arches before Transitmania, week on it and I didn't get anywhere... All the inner parts are turning into dust upon hand touch, mud flaps falling off after filler was removed and box sections missing.......... I knew it's not going to be easy, but Lola managed to "surprise" me once again   I guess I shouldn't have put it off for so long :?

Not a pretty sight... :( Ductape is my best friend, will have to do until I can get enough time to sort it out. We're moving warehouses at the moment, so no major work can be done and it's quite questionable if there will be enough space for any major work later on either.

And I'm finally taking Lola on an epic trip on Thursday night this week, again - been putting this off for a year now and can't do anymore, so the ferry is booked, and here's the journey lined up for ductaped Lola giving her a chance to fulfill her initial purchase purpose - delivering all my tools, furniture and materials to build a wetroom in my grandmothers house

Image

Just over 1000 miles there and then another 1000 miles back week later. Hopefully she'll be a good girl, if she is, she'll get the attention needed once I'm there , with the supervision of my grandfather - welder by profession  (provided the journey won't take us 6 days   )

Keep your fingers crossed for us, THE GREEN MONSTER IS ATTACKING EUROPE :!:

  Thanks g man, all I'm asking myself is "Do I have enough spare parts?", "Do I have enough spare wheels??", "Do I have enough metal sheets to do weld repairs on my way in case something falls off???" and "Do I take my spare engine with me too????"    We shall see I guess...   It's time for another adventure

Take a reel of electrical wire with you and some duct tape - that can solve most problems :) Take a few M8 nuts and bolts too (13mm head)

Do you have european break down cover just in case? i always do for my trips, it was cheaper for the year than for 23 days i originally got quoted for, trip changed to 29 days in the end, i was chatting to a fella at Brindisi this year and he was billed about £800 for an alternator for a VW in Italy plus 4 nights in a hotel for his family.
The cover cost me £175 this included £50 for the first £500 of any parts bill.
Most of all enjoy your trip and stay safe cheers.
Life is not a dress rehearsal
