so as its school holidays, been smoking to and from work in the van, sets off this morning, only to get just down the road and the throttle pedal drops to the floor, bugger
wound the idle screw up, and limped it back home, rung me local factors, only one we got is a genuine ford one, that'll do me
so got it fitted tonite, bit of a bugger cos there was a ford meet tonite, hey ho
while the bonnet was up had a nosey round, yep rocker covers still leaking, yep bit of a coolant dribble, hang on, whats happened to the blades on cooling fan number 2, half of them are missing, oh dear, looks like me got more sh*t to fix

so the rs is fixed( sort of) we going to weald tomorrow for some drag racing was a bit worried about sitting in a big queue to get in with only one cooling fan (number 2 fan shat itself a couple of weeks back) found a kenlowe at work in the parts bin, managed to cobble it on for tomorrow, not pretty but its on there and it blows like fook, yay

hi tiago
the wheels on my van were chrome weller wheels, the front are 6 inches wide, 14 inch diameter and the rears are 7 inches wide and 14 inches in diameter, the front tyres are 185 55 14 and on the rear they are 225 40 14. the chrome had gone rusty so I cleaned then up primered them with 2 pack and painted them black.

so its been ages and the van still aint had its makeover yet, looked back through this thread and it was painted in 2009 so its getting to the point where it really needs sorting out. got me a new pair of front wings, still got some bits to buy, arches front and maybe rear, and been investigating the air shocks I bought to go on the rear, looks like i'll be fitting vertical turret boxes(mk2 escort) in the back and mount them on the top of the axle, got another set of wheels that I might try to fit on it aswell
gonna be a busy winter

been sorting out a few leaks, coolant and oil

pulled both rocker covers, timing cover, and the sump, will chuck a new waterpump on while its in bits, and gonna sort out the cooling fans.

so weve got some new bits to go on, lookin at my sump and its shite, bent to hell and rusty too, so ive sourced a 24v cossie alloy sump(cheers gav) as it happens, its got a pair of oil returns at the back, might need those so with a bit of luck, no more leaky sump
sure ive got a pair of turbo's laying around somewhere
