here goes with my pictures of the seat

see the runner on the back board which guides the small half of the seat when it is moved
Image

the other runner which also is the front of the seat, has runner on inner edge to guide seat and is secured when not in used and when fully open for bench seat by a bolt which goes down into the floor.
hinged by a piano hinge on the inner edge

bolt

other section of the seat opens sideways unstead of straight up as usual
the board is part of the seat on this type as it acts as the support of the seat when positioned into a single seat

think that the seat is a 2/5 3/5 split to allow for the angle of the seat.
hope this helps you make your decision.
also you need to allow a section against the window for the back section of the bench seat to sit independant of the lower section

as shown in the below picture

dont matter its a dog of a van i am not going to replace them i shall leave it as it is, i shall put a strength plate on the light bowl to stop it vibrating, and thats it.
the van will serve a purpose and thats day trips and nights out, i dont have the cash to spend making it superb and you can still get strong ones for less than it would cost to get this one in the same condition. :)

im sure he will get used to it :D

my cat is the only one ive had that will happily go for a ride in the car and not panic, often take it for a drive and if i go for a walk anywhere she will follow regardless how far i go, if she see a dog, instead of running she jumps onto my should as i think she knows shes safe there.

surprising how attached you get to them, you miss em when they are not there. :D

Im sure he will

mine does not like leaving the house never mind going for rides  He would only go in my old van when it was in the drive to. If he sees a dog he goes for it. I think you got the better one

I have had mine over 16 years now, he on his last legs bless him dont think hes got to long left :( He will be dealy missed :( But he made a good age and as had a easy life. Think he will like lucking out the top bunk window but I will have to lift him up as there know way he could make up there by him self any more :?

at least hes had a good life so far. its a sad day when they finally go, ive lost quite a few in the past the most recent approx a week ago she was 17 and lost her hearing 2yrs previous, died in her sleep.

you maybe surprised your cat could live a lot longer than you think my sister had one from the cat rescue which was born in 1984 and had to be put down last year as all her organs were failing and it was unfair to have her suffer just for a few more days.

my persian cross is 3yrs old and I have had her at my side since she was a few weeks old, one of twins. my sister had the other.
