Transit gearboxes break easily?.Another myth, probably put about by people with spare gearboxes to sell.

i've recommissioned an mgbgt in a week, after it'd sat for a year

I recommissioned a herald in a week, after it had sat for two years

And i recommissioned a dolomite in a week after it'd sat for five years.

These all entailed patches to the chassis's, which i gas tigged

Ok it might not make me a week to get back on the road, it might not take me a month, but i promise, ill be seeing you all in the summer!

mate these things are like little lorrys a bloody nightmere!
getting the rear drums off will be fun
i think you should have the same type adjusters that i have on the rear, there is a hole in the bottom of the back plate ,you should be able to get a screw driver in there and adjust the adjuster off!
this photo might help !

i've had the rears off with no problem. Its the fronts that i cant do. The wheels turned on the trailor so obviously un seized but they've now binded and cant get them off. Will they be the same as your backs?

Have been pulling the hub but its the shoes that are rusted to the drums so its not curing it

Where are the adjusters? I might of been twisting the Shoe retaining clips?
