hi soz ive been busy last few weeks

working day and night repacing the floor and chasssis on the van as it was rotten.and its been a nightmare god knows how many spot welds ive drilled out of mine and the donor van  . the bonnet was simple to do if your any good with a welder and grinder and a lot of elbow grease rubbing down and shaping. i can take some pics as im half way through doing another one for the van with the f50 bonnet vents on it rather than spoiling the one thats on it

tranny mhan keep watching this post my van is gonna be well pimped

and thanks to all you guys for the complements

i should have the floor and chassis done this week then. ill be either putting the body kit on or putting the v8 in not sure yet

hi
just a couple of pics of the new bonnet unfinished to to give one transit a rough idea of how its done!.

put about a 10mm lip folded under so theres its no sharp edges and dont forget to remove any rust before fillering  as i have to do(its only suface rust where ive had it stood outside).
then its a bit of elbow grease to flat down.
The f50 vents were more difficult instead of just sticking them on like most ive seen i cut slits in the bonnet and pushed the edges into the slits then bonded themand then fillered around so they look part of the bonnet . the main problem is to keep the vents the shape they are as the transit bonnets quite curved mainly towards the front and the vents are for fairly flat bonnets they were distorting badly and took a while coz of this but that problem is now cured. i know its not everyones cup of tea but im starting to see it come together now! THEN THE V8 ENGINE!!! cant wait
