LOOKING GOod, did you get the right size head gasket :?: :?:
that head looks brandnew.
where are you getting the shafts done at :?: :?:
looking at them pistons they look the same as the 125ps tdci pistons, not the same as the 130ps mondeo pistons though.

Yeah mate got the right headgasket for it, the head should look new really it's only got 30k on it and been fully stripped cleaned and rebuilt!! Haha the pistons are quite a bit different to the 125 ones mate not even the rings are the same as i tried swapping them about on a spare St piston I bought.

Just a question when u rebuild them do you dial gauge the oil pump in or do it by eye?

are the st rings thicker :?: :?: suppose they have to be different as longer stroke means more load on piston rings.

Also where the oil pump bolts to the ladder I'm pretty sure there isn't but can you just confirm there's no gasket between the pump and ladder?

No mate the oil pump to line it up off the crank

The St rings are actually thinner than the 125 ones?

not sure about lining oil pump up :? would of thought its just lines up with the bolts as there the type, that locate fully arnt they.

dont think theres a flat gasket, not sure wether its an oring type is it that pushes into ladder frame :?:

strange the piston rings are thinner, all the tddi ones i have are about 4mm thick and all tdci ones are about 2mm thick  cant imagine them any thinner.

unless they used the same as tddi ones on earlier tdci engines and thats what you have :?:

possibly as you have the earlier type oil pump chain tensioner that can rattle.

another thing has your van got the full delphi pcm, or do you have a visteon one with seperate delphi module :?:

No mate according to ford data oil pump needs dialed in with a clock as it moves around 5mm on the bolts, thinkin about it there's no gasket on the oil pump as it wouldn't sit right if there was a gasket on it.

It's the later tdci mate it's a full 55reg St lump

Dint know quite what u mean about PCM? It'll be running full St management if I can get the clocks to work when I looked into it people reckon the clocks go cookoo? So don't know wether to use the 125 ecu and get it mapped but don't know if it will map aswell as the St one would?

Would you recommend having the injectors checked before fitting?

i meant your vans tdci age cos they came out on 2002 and your 52reg maybe on 2002, which had the seperate injector module and normal visteon PCM (ECU).

one problem with 55reg st engine and its PCM it may have the electronic actuated turbo, so wont be able to activate your vacumn turbo.

which turbo were you using again, i know you had that brandnew 125ps tdci one..

Ah ok av no idea about the PCM on the van I havnt looked?,

The St PCM is for a vac actuator, I,ll be putting the 125 one on I reckon although I do have an St one but it's for a electronic actuator, don't know if these can be converted?

What management are u running in yours?
