Once de-cated they go over 20psi, kaboom!!! I was reading once that 2" restrictors have to be welded in the exhuast to stop them blowing up!!!

just offered it up today :D i think if i wasnt bothered about putting a few scratches and dints in the bulkhead i could have squashed it in  but as i am i need to strip it back a bit :D

Image

i can't see the standard twin turbo set up fitting (you can see the clearence here) so i'm gonna have to fit a single turbo - this isnt a problem it's a good power upgrade for these engines - i dont think you can go anymore than 400bhp with the twins anyway :? you can also see in this picture how much space ive still got behind the engine :D

Image

the other side is close too so i might have to make up a new plenumn - i'm prepaired to do this if necessary so thats ok :D

the next step is to strip off the turbos and all the wiring loom, but to do this i need to make lots of notes on where it all goes

Bit more progress today

i'm working nights this week got to bed 7 this morning got woke up at half 9....... off to do a bit more on the engine :D

got the loom stripped off the engine - tagged and photo'd each connecter - ther's over 50 of them  and thats just the engine - there's more in the car :o

Image

also removed the top half of the plenumn - gives me a bit more room and makes it look a bit easier to handle :D
Image

next turbo's off the other side :)

Outstanding, will be following your progress closely it will be amazing when done.

Is it the same engine as in the Orange Supra in the Fast and Furious 1?
