So today got up early , timing gun in hand out to pick up new dizzy..
Waited hour then went home, miffed but happy cos I timed my dizzy with new gun...
Loads better at 14 degrees advance, even with seized weights in my old dizzy.

Got home, fast, and after coffee spoke to guy in shop, arranged to get back down after brew
Now he was on his way.....

So got there got old one out after popping cap and moving to tdc and rotor on #1...
Basically new one in bit after much messing got a tow home as needed to go shopping.

Another silly easy job gone sour

So ill be out playing tomo, but hopefully end in sight so ill be able to drive her more!
Faster too lol...

So a good nights sleep later and a good think and a few backfires, turns out I had somehow got it 180 degrees out lol
Now running like a dream , with full mechanical and vac advance,
timed to 16 degrees static ,no vac...
Once blowing manifold sorted (got gaskets) ill set to try to improve my 7hg in from vac advance supply.

Already took ages to warm up today so, gentlemen, I might be on way to proper running !

Well the day wad today got to drive the van after new dizzy was fitted last week...

Fkin sweet is all I can say, just really really need to sort this clutch arm end thingy and it'll be so sweet.

4th gear round roundabout 20mph, loads of torque so luckily not too much gear changing!

Once I fitted new exhaust gaskets, ill do the vacuum tuning that WHITEMICE posted up!

Then tidy out rear and get seats fitted!
