lets hope so :D i dont fancy buying another

my exhaust manifold arrived today 8) 8) i'd heard a lot of bad things about the ebay manifolds - basically they are copies of the very expensive tuning company ones and some have questionable welding and finishing but this is very good 8) i will have to cut off the pipe for the blow off valve off and reweld it facing the other direction as it's going to foul on the steering column but aside from that it looks very good 8)

now i'm looking into some bushes for the engine mounts - i think the standard ford ones wont be up to the job and the toyota ones have allready proved not up to it as both were split :( once ive got the bushes i can get on with making the mounts :D

wasnt sure about those - is the vibration transfer bad :?: i still want it to be a nice drive :D

i was thinking of making something like a wcxm with a couple of transit rear leafspring bushes  :? ................ soft and strong

mk1/2 escorts use mk1/2 leafspring bushes for theirs, as this is a bigger heavier engine i though transit bushes :?

How about one of these mate http://www.lancerregister.com/showthrea ... light=blox they're for an evo so not sure if you can make them fit but they are a pretty awesome bit of kit
Talking about the blox roll stopper by the way not the powerflex one

Slightly off the wall...

But could you use 2 mounts on each side?

interesting reading but i think the blox one will be too hard, infact i think the powerflex one will too :D

MinorMatt wrote:But could you use 2 mounts on each side?

hmmmm dunno about that :?

ive done a bit of googling and there's quite a science to rubber hardness's but i think it boils down to stronger mounts = more vibration

might try the later toyota mounts http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showth ... p?t=365091 they seem to be a bit stronger as they are encased in metal, then again it says they increase vibrations :?

Genuine standard mounts.
Should last a few years at least, and ride comfort will be factory.
