UPDATE!!! IT'S BEEN FOUND IN ONE PIECE!!!!

It's down the road from me in Medway...

I'm slightly concerned it's now in a proper state, but the police said it looks 'ok'

I'm also very much concerned I'm gonna have to pay extortionate storage fee's etc... not to mention the transportation costs of getting it home. Anyone got any advice.

Can't wait to see the old girl again.

I'm not sure yet Luke...

The Copper has said when I collect, ring him beforehand and he'll release it.

I'm just amazed it wasn't cubed.

They did... but apparently can't pin anything on him? Apparently he bought it in good faith, so may be an innocent party.

Cheers all, I'm expecting the worst but hey, who knows?!

Just want to see it now, but the holding yard won't let me at it untill their paperwork has been sent through. It's been gone 6 months so could be in any state.

Copper said they think it was going to be exported.... :? Who would bother? It was hardly a desirable vehicle!!

I still think it's crazy it wasn't stolen for scrap- when it went, they could have got £300 for it.

well im glad you got it back, but you might get a shock on storage. in london its around £12/day storage for bikes and £25 for cars. the police arent always so hot on informing people that their vehicle is in a pound - a mate of mine had his bike taken and it spent 4 months in a pound before the police got round to informing him.......by which time it wasnt worth having as the repairs it needed plus the storage was more than the bike was worth :(

Proper strange isn't it.

Yeah I'm expecting to be stung by storage charges. If it's too much and the van is not worth bothering with, I'll have to either let them dispose of it or call a local scrap-man.

For all I know, the LPG is missing, every panel is stoved in, my Weber carb has been nicked etc etc. All will be revealed soon I suppose!! :?

Yup sound advice Geoff, I'm going up there tommorow, regardless of whether there's paperwork or not... as you say, it's my property!

Trouble is, moving it aint gonna be easy  will probably take a week to organise recovery.. :?:
