Yes indeed mark the top half seems to be in good condition and the whole camper will be really solid once the weldings done now im thinking about a respray possibly blaze orage what colour should i go for or keep it as it is any comments are welcome

How about brush painting Andy, i can do my mk2 front end with a litre, i like brushing as it is easy to re-do at any time and is as eco as it gets and is honest enough so that the rustworm is able to poke out 4 or 5 years down the line rather than spreading beneath a 'good fillerspraypaintjob mate'.

I would do the cab and the wheels and those horrid blue panels on the body white so they won't think you fell off the back of the convoy at sites etc. and it would look brahma!:mrgreen:

mmm yes after looking at muttleys pics i think white could be the way to go and brush painting sounds a nice idea

when i had it i always intended to get it back on mk1 wheels - the fronts i think need a spacer i can't remember and the backs i was gonna fit a mk4/5 axle to space it out a bit but some mk1 banded wheels would look awsome on the back oh and the wheels would be white with chrome hubcaps

remember andy this has the wider mk3 ifs so check wellers will go on the front they might be out of the arches standard front mk1 wheels and rear banded mk1 wheels would be soooooo cool

Had a dude in Ipswich trying to flog me some 6 stud Wellers with tyres for my twin wheeler, they were like 70's big mega-fat tyred jobbies, really good nick and cool but ott for anything but a street custom with a V8.

White paint is smart for Transit wheels.

update time bill came round yesterday and wired up my tow bar and finished soildering all the back light wiring, then taped it all up and cable tied it to secure it all, and today my mate came round and did a few more jobs, the tempreture gauge is in and works great lots of re wiring done which was all soilderd up and taped so should last for years mmm i may just be able to use it now been a long time coming mindyou i still gotta get the new fuse box fitted in a few more little jobs so its still work in progress
