Nothing much happend latley. been bust getting the 24v ready.

Once this is in i will also fit the Air con as its all on the same loom (well sort of

)

then i will be back onto the paint

24v out of car today, loom out tomorrow

Just need an adaptor plate and flywheel now

Decided to make up a frame to hold it all solid so i can try working out the wires and then transfer it into the van. May even start it befor i fit it

Heres what i got now

incase i forget the auto box is where it should be

I started one for college to hold a pinto test rig.

just need to adapt it for the V6

From what I can gather from the Capri forum you should be able to use the flywheel and clutch from a 2.8i and the MT75 box will fit straight on (with the adapter plate of course).

loom out today. worked out the wires.

From what i worked out I think i have to connect 1 ign live, 3 perminant lives, 5 earths.

This is by using the splices in the granny loom :wink:

And this is what it looks like

and Big John. the little valve in the vaccuum pipe that was with the loom is the cannister purge valve. F**K knows what it does

good luck mate you must keep us all upto date on this conversion ,i would think a 2.8 or 2.9 flywheel would fit the crank! you have your old box out so you can mess about by putting it together and see! :wink:

there was one on my rover engine :lol:
