just a quick update not done much today but finishd the top end with my new inlet,and fitted the rocker covers today

at long last,i give it a bit of fuel and a flick on the key and it started

i will be painting it dont worry, there wouldnt be much point in puting an engine in a nicely painted bay not knowing what mods to make and mess the paint work up

ello people update for you all
i brought a rad that come out of a v6 transit but the mounts were a little off,so i had to make my own

so i cut off the mounts for the diesel rad and i had to cut off the support that went down to the cross member as the fan was hitting it,so i will have to see if that gives me any problems when the bonnet is shut.


once i cut all the mounts off had a little re fit to see were my new mounts had to go


i made some brackets up and welded them to the slam panel,i think thats been the most easy bit on the van

now the rad is all boted in i put some rad hoses together and filled her up with water and yes it was like a sive got that sorted and my next job was the exhaust but i havent taken many pics when i was making it but i did do a little recored so you can hear it

if you click on the pic i think it will take you to photo bucket and play but im not sure

your makin good progress sounds good too
think you might need to put the brace back in on the slam panel, as it will twist about when you slam the bonnet
got twin fans on mine, think i just kicked the support out a bit to clear them

after i loaded the last lot of pics i thought i would get the gear stick done
oh and this is my new TOY,i see it and just had to have



i was gona screw a plate down over the old gear stick hole but my new welder was telling me to weld it so i did



and then i made way for the type 9 gear stick and just used the plastic housing so i could put the transit gaiter back on


and tomorrow will come the test drive cant wait
