still got prop to sort but wiring loom is getting closer

trying to work out what tyres i need gonna be 245's but either 50 profile or 55 50 should give me the same rolling radious as the old ones but i always planned on swapping them for a larger profile for cosmetic reasons - but i dont know if i'll have arch clearance problems with 55's although the weight is on the axle in the pic - but long term i plan on lowering it a bit

either way i dont suppose it matters much as i cant see the tyres lasting long might see what it's like on the 50's 1st

seeing as i've not updated this for so long it's fell off the 1st page i thought i'd better update

not really done a great deal as ive been busy with other stuff but i've had an adapter plate made for the prop - pics to follow when i collect it

made this for the gearbox - it picks up of the now redundant rear leaf spring mounts and uses the toyota standard rubber block





other stuff ive done is lay the wiring loom in place and make sure it all reaches, the ecu will be inside the cab on this one this is what it looks like

Bit more done today

got this oil cooler for the autobox - it's quite big but it's gonna be fitted under the van so might not get the airflow it would on the front so i thought go larger - ive also got a square one so i can fit a fan if i need just need to make up a mounting bracket and weld on some smaller fittings to it



After reading AlanN's thread i thought if thats the standard of todays modded transit then i'd better paint my gearbox crossmember it's now fitted and the engine box is in it's final position



I'm getting to that stage where one job needs another done 1st before i can continue, like i need the radidator but i cant get that made untill i've got the fans as the space is so tight i need to trial fit them to the mock radiator then get the dimentions spot on, so thats next job - along side that is the wiring i need to find the pinouts for these connectors



it's looking close to get it done for north weald i'm also starting a new job so i'll get a bit less time on it, but i'll try my best and wether i'm racing or not i'll be at weald
