hello,

i had a result today i went to the local breakers yard to see if they had a pump for my van,

he said he had a pump and he wanted a £10, for it,

so i had a look and it was a bosch pump, so i said i was going to get my tools, and i went back,

the bloke said he made a mistake on the price and he was going to have to charge me more so i said ok how much??

he turned around and said that it will have to be £20.00 so i ok and took the pump off,

i got home and fitted the pump thinking that it wouldn't work and after 5 minutes of bleed the injectors my van fired upo and ran like a brand new van,

so back up and running, time to start more modds,

will post some more tommorrow, hope i will have lots sorted out by then, some new doors ith electrics and my be some other bits and bobs, you will have to wait and see,

i might have more done on the bumper aswel,

hello,

not done to much today as i had to go scrap my old escort van, then i went out looking for bits for my van, had a look at some door but they had to many cracks worse then mine so i left them and just got a pair of new rear lights,



then i went shopping and ended up getting a flip out tv/radio, 7" screen, dvd ect for £225.00,




i then started to do some more on my bumper but again i ran out of filler but its nearly done i have got done to 180 grit so not much more rubbing done and i can start thinking about what colour i am going to paint it,

any ideas,

top job on the front bumper mate wheres the how to on the single wiper conversion ? as i wouldnt mind doin this to mine

sorry i did mean to do one but with all the running problems i have had with the van, trying to get it running properly, i haven't had time,

the wiper conversion is quite easy, all you have to do is cut and extened the small arm that is driven of the motor, you will need to add 9mm, then just take of the linkage to the drivers side wipper arm, i extened my passange arm about 2" and put a 24" wiper blade on it and i just messed abou to makesure it stops and moves equaol each side,

apart from that to make things look better i cut down the thred on the drivers side mount so just has the nut holding it on and it doesn't poke through the sucuttle panel.

i will try to take some pics later if it stops raining, if any one wants a conversion i will modd there own wiper assembley for a small fee, if they post it to me, and pay fo the materials only about £2.00-3.00, and the return cost of postage, i could also extend the wiper arm at the same time,

any way todays plan it to try and wire up the centrel looking motors that i have, i took them out my escort van and i have had a play with them and they fit on the transit lock mechanisim so now i have a haynes manual shouldn't take to long,

i am also running the looms for electric windows an electric mirrors just incase i come a cross a second hand set,
and the plan was to do some more of the bumper but its crappy weather out side,

fingers cross that it clears up or i will drive myself mad sitting in the house all day,

if you do i might be able to sort out a deal, i.e if you post the wiper ect and the body kit, or we meet up half way then i could maybe sort the conversion out and this way i could work out the right price for others, ect

im good mate im moving today so can work on my own van as new house has a double garage yeah i still have the rest of the kit if you still want it ill not be on for a few days but wen i am we can sort out a deal for sure

i have tryed to sort out the centrel locking system but i have to try and find different motors as the ones i have are form a systenm that had dead locking on it and the motor have 6 wires and i only need 4 wire motors i think they might be the same in the back doors of most cars, the six wire motors have to go through a control box and it i a complete pain to sort the wireing out,

so tomorrow i will be rading the local breckers to see if i am right regaurding the 4 wire motors,

i am also go to see how much they want for the complete power steering system that was on the van i got my pump off,

hope it wont be to much as i got a pump for £20.00 and other places wanted about £150.00 for a second hand one,

i have been quoted between £175.00 and £200.00 for the complete power streering in other places so fingers crossed,

well i went to the breakers this afternoon to ask about the power steering system,

the bloke said if i take it off i can have it for only £50.00 complete,

i think thats quite a good price, at least i can get all the bolts, ect

Sounds like a good deal to me, there’s a couple of complete PAS sets on eBay starting at 50 and £60, I just need everything to go with my rack now and I will be joining you...

The (early Granada) central locking system on mine has only three wires and one of those is the earth, its solenoid operated not motors, very easy to fit and will integrate with any alarm, which is handy... Although I need one more solenoid to do the rear doors.
