The interior might not be completely finished by then, but I still carry a bit of hope inside me   . Depends on how many free weekends like this one I'll have... How about you? Which one will you be bringing to Billing? :D

You know - that's exactly what the guy in welding shop said... And then wanted £6 for the spray. :? But I just love all those little burned holes in my shirt and trousers - goes well with the panels on my tranny...

Not trying to swear at you   Unfortunate mistake caused by lack of welder knowledge on my side   And with my impatience syndrome it's quite difficult to leave it to cool off, but... I'll try...

How did you know???  I hate fillers. The one I've got is nice to put on but goes hard in about 5 minutes and then doesn't like to be sanded  Lost all my nails and fingertips already. Thanks for the tip, I'll be trying that one tonight if I can get it. Halfords... aaaah

Thanks Mr Big Beefy, I had a gas welder for couple of weeks thanks to kind help from MinorMatt and yes, It was easier with it, but (and I'm sooo ashamed to admit it publicly  ) - I have one great irrational fear of gas and pressurised things, so I was actually quite relieved when my welder turned out to be gasless...   I did expect it to be convertible though (so I can use gas with it in case I need to), but it looks like it's not :( It's like riding an Inferno roller coaster every time before I start setting up a gas welder...

  Yeah, I don't have testicles but I have some balls... Or just plain crazy? Never know where the line between those two is...

I'm sure we'll have a drink at Transitmania, can't believe it's almost here!  But as for "look out" in London - I don't drive during the day almost at all, only the occasional delivery here and there, as I'm stuck at the office/warehouse most of the days. And Lola is hiding here too, poor girl  But that shall all change soon

Thanks for thumbs up! 8)

Thanks, I would have never thought I could do body work before I started this madness... I'm sure you'll be surprised what you can do when you have strong vision  I blame it on those air castle builds I've done in my imagination when I was small

Well it's time for a little update. Haven't had time to do anything major on the bus, because some flu run around me and decided to stop by for couple of days and work piled up... usual stuff  But today we made a step forward. Doors and window facelift! 8)

Being an airhead, I forgot to bring half of the rubbers, so we decided we'll have a little practise on one window first. Taking it out

Image

You can see that the doors are in already, but I forgot to take pictures - was too busy talking and admiring Muttleys transits 8)

And then it all began... Hour after hour, pushing and pulling, holding and pushing again, sweating blood, with a little help of good old gaffa tape we ended up with this

Image

Hmmm... Not as straight forward swap as I thought it would be... It defo needs a bigger hole. Trouble is that my bus was originaly a panel van converted into minibus, so the cuts are not as if done by Ford. There is also a fair bit of rust and filler (what a surprise!!!) so rather than grinding it off and risking some neighbours shooting at us, I headed home with beautiful temporary windows - Brooklyn style 8) 8)

Image

Well - somehow I feel happy. Not sure why, maybe just lack of energy, but say whatever you want, I still call this TODAY'S PROGRESS

Image

If I do the same on the other side - would I have a chance of winning the wooden spoon at Transitmania?
