recent progress

good and bad.......... :| the bad............ i collected my radiator, took it straight down to the garage to fit it............ and it was too big :shock: :shock: :( :( basically my fault - i'd sketched it right but transferring it to a neat drawing i wrote down the core size as the overall size and added the end tanks - resulting in a radiator thats too big, can't be shortened ............. scrap :!: :evil: :oops:

so i've ordered another but the correct size this time :roll: :lol:

but the good news :mrgreen: ......... the van is now down at the exhaust shop waiting for a stainless system to be built next week........... lets hope i get that right :lol: :lol:

But good news on the exhaust :)

I'm excited as well - this vans rebirth has got to be the high point of the year so far!!

One of them NSVA men will buy the rad.. :idea:

Arrggh dont even go there :wink: :) :)

Done me MK6 just about though, ( total repaint/refurb) & finished the bike & 2 bike engines i had to do so i am running out of excuses on the Mk 2 :mrgreen:

Collected the van from exhaustsuk yesterday 8) it's now got a shiny stainless exhaust and my wallet is £550 lighter :lol:

i didnt take any pics as i was in a rush but i'll get some over the weekend :D

i had the exhaust built into the o/s sidepipe but long term i want to replace them with stainless ones and pipe the n/s one up too :D

now got to get a move on with the wiring - gear linkage cooling them i'm ready for weald :mrgreen:
