Mk5 LWB Minibus to splitter

Postby mikeellis » Sun Jan 01, 2012 2:39 pm

This is my Xmas present from my good lady!

59k on clock, a few rust patches, roof rack with ladder, very clean and tidy inside, everything works, FSH, 12 months MOT, well chuffed! I'm planning to remove the seats behind the small, centre window and board out the back for cargo. Any suggestion for blocking off the glass folks? If anyone needs bus seats, let me know!

I would use ply at least 9mm thick, possible paint it white where the windows are or even a funky design.

I like that idea, aestetically speaking that would be quite smart as all the side windows would match. Thanks for the suggestion.

It's already been suggested elsewhere that I should leave the signage but change the 'S' to a 'V'

I did wonder about the designation as I had a mk5 lwb for a few years and I don't recall it having the little centre window, xlwb semi cube it is then! Yes, a great present, I was pleasantly surprised and speechless when she took me to collect it! As for the seats, they will be up for sale and sample "sniffings" can be booked for a small consideration.

I dont think its a Xlwb just a lwb with a bigger over hang on the back
Never been common even when MK5s where in production, must be 10 or 11 years since production stopped here
