MK2 LWB Project

Postby Jappa73 » Thu Nov 16, 2006 2:03 am

Hi there
Well I now have photos of my project and have all ready made a start by cleaning all the rubbish out of it and connecting the starter motor which could explain why it wouldnt turn over

It is a 78 with a C4 6 cylinder Auto on gas and petrol

My dad the ford mechanic for 25 years will be working on the motor and it is up to me to do the rest. I hope you guys are patient :D

There is only the smallest amount of surface rust and the front quater panel has a dent that has bog in it but that wont take much to fix. Now the color is another thing. That has to go

A V8 would be better

Oh just thought I would give you all a heads up that....now dont be alarmed...........I am a blonde female. So be gentle on me if I ask stupid questions! But I would rather be stuck under a bonnet than stuck behind a sink

If you want to keep it Mk2 looking then it has to be a solid colour, red will fade quite quickly, theres loads of blue ones (but thats over here), what about a british racing green? 8)

Super looking van mate :D If the vans here had so little rust we'd all still be in Mk2's :D

You reminded me about rust and the lack of Mk2s on the road (well not my road obviously...)

I think that was the stupid server. It kept timing out. Being a computer technician I am used to that

My first car was a 1970 Toyota Corona and it was british racing green. Not a bad color but not sure I would like a huge amount of it. Would look like a moving garbage bin !!!! (ours are green over here) I like blue. Might have a look at that. Thanks

So why do your cars have so much rust over there?
